Mantra Meditations

Why chant?
You may not know it, but you've been carrying mantras in your head for a very long time. Mantras are thoughts and words you repeat again and again, further making them a reality. Unfortunately, these vibrations that we seed are various versions of "I'm not good enough" or "I am victim." Yoga mantra does the opposite. It codes over the negative self talk and seeds vibration that supports our highest potential. These sounds also vibrate at a frequency that is much higher than the frequency of an average healthy human body, supporting good health and a vibrant sense of wellness. It balances the heart center, strengthens the throat center (which governs expression of our personal power), opens up our third eye (intuition) and crown center (feeling of Oneness), and expands our aura. All that! It affirms life.

Choosing how long to do a meditation and its benefits:

The most ideal amount of time to do a meditation is what will keep you in it most consistently.
Having said that, the amount of time determines the depth at which one can affect change.
  • In 3 minutes, you affect your circulation and blood chemistry.
  • In 11 minutes the pituitary gland and the nerves start to learn and change.
  • In 22 minutes your three minds (negative, positive, and neutral) start to work together so your mental integration changes.
  • 31 minutes affects your whole mind and your aura, and the 31 tattwas (qualities/ elements with which we are made: air, ether, fire, water, earth) are balanced.
  • 37 ½ minutes reflects from the whole aura to Infinity and back, stimulating the perception of Naad—the inner sound.
  • In 62 minutes your "shadow mind" and your positive projection are integrated.
  • 2 ½ hours completes the cycle of prana and apana so what you gain will hold through the cycle of the day. It holds change in the subconscious.
